Who is responsible
FloorPlanCraft is an independently operated floor-planning service. For privacy questions or requests, email hello@floorplancraft.com.
What we collect
- When you use the planner as a guest: your plan stays in the active browser session unless you export it or choose to sign in and save it. Your unit preference may be stored in local browser storage. If you choose Sign in to save, a validated pending draft may remain in same-tab session storage for up to 24 hours so the transition can finish.
- When you create an account: we store your name, email address, account identifiers, password credential hash and secure session records, which may include session-token metadata, IP address and user-agent information. We do not store or display your plaintext password.
- When you save or share: we store plan titles, complete plan versions, workspace records and the status of public share links. Public share tokens act like secret links; only token hashes are stored in the database.
- When the service is used: ordinary security and diagnostic logs may include an IP address, request time, requested route, browser or device information and error category.
- On public marketing pages: Google Analytics measures visits and engagement, including the page, referrer, approximate location, browser or device information and which public planner-entry link was used. Planner-entry events use a query-free public path and a bounded template destination; they do not include plan content, account identifiers or the source page query. Analytics is not loaded in the planner, account flow, library, saved documents or public plan links.
- When you send feedback: the feedback page opens your email app. The site does not upload or store a separate form copy; the message is then handled by your email provider and the FloorPlanCraft mailbox.
Why we use it
We use account and plan data to provide saving, version history and sharing that you request. We use limited technical data to secure, operate and troubleshoot the service. We use aggregated public-page analytics to understand which pages are useful and improve the site. We do not sell personal information, run advertising trackers or send marketing email in the current beta.
Cookies and local storage
Signed-in sessions use essential, secure cookies. The editor may use local storage for your metres or feet preference and session storage to carry a guest draft through sign-in. Google Analytics may use browser storage or cookies on the public marketing pages. Analytics remains excluded from the planner, accounts, saved documents and public plan links.
AI and plan content
AI floor-plan generation is disabled in the current beta. Saved plans are not sent to an AI provider. If this changes, this notice and the product interface must explain the provider and purpose before the feature is enabled.
Sharing and service providers
FloorPlanCraft runs on hosted application and PostgreSQL infrastructure needed to provide the service. Google provides analytics on the public marketing pages. We do not send plan content, account pages, saved-document routes or public-share URLs to Google Analytics. We do not publish a private plan unless you choose to create a public link. Anyone holding that link can view its published version until you revoke it or delete the source plan.
Retention and control
Account and saved-plan records remain while your account is active or while needed to provide the service. Deleting a plan removes it from active use and invalidates its public link, but immutable version, audit, backup or security records may remain while a legitimate operational or legal reason requires them. Contact us to request account access, correction or deletion; we will verify that the request belongs to you before acting. A final production retention schedule is still being documented during the beta, so we do not promise immediate erasure.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to certain uses of personal data, and to complain to your local data-protection authority. Email us to make a request. You may also stop using the service and revoke public links from your library.
Children
The service is intended for adults planning commercial spaces and is not directed to children.
Changes
We may update this notice as the beta changes. The effective date above will change when the notice changes materially.
