SMALL INDOOR PLAYGROUND DESIGN
Small floor.
Clear priorities.
Meet Little Grove: a compact play café with a two-level play structure, a toddler discovery corner, tiny playhouses and a comfortable place for parents to watch.
Explore the furnished room in 3D, then make it your own.
LITTLE GROVE · SIX CONNECTED AREAS
Keep the essentials.
Protect the route between them.
Arrive beside reception, follow the open promenade past the playhouses, and settle at a table facing the play floor. Nineteen furnishings give each area a purpose, with a separate route to the rear exit.
Switch between 2D and 3D, then open the plan to move furniture and adjust the room.
DESIGN BY PRIORITY
A compact planning sequence
- 01 / ROUTE
Keep arrival and exits legible.
Place check-in and storage beside the entry without filling the doorway path, then reserve a clear approach to the secondary exit.
- 02 / PRIORITISE
Give every activity a place.
A two-level play structure anchors the room. Low toddler activities, a ball pool and a little playhouse street offer smaller moments of discovery around it.
- 03 / REVIEW
Test the room from inside.
Compare 2D, 3D and walkthrough, then remove, rotate or replace equipment when the composition feels crowded.
WHAT EARNS FLOOR AREA
The compact plan protects three things
- 01 / WELCOME
A visible first stop
A reception point and storage sit near the entrance without becoming the centre of the play floor.
- 02 / PLAY
Age and activity choices
Toddler, contained-play and ball-play zones remain individually readable instead of merging into one crowded footprint.
- 03 / SUPPORT
A seat with a view
Two banquettes pair with café tables facing the play floor. A sofa and planted corners complete the family seating area.
SMALL DOES NOT MEAN CERTAIN.
Useful
boundaries.
How small is the example?
The editable venue uses a planning canvas of about 16 m by 12.5 m around a compact rectangular shell. It is an example to revise, not a recommended minimum or a capacity rule.
Is this just the full template scaled down?
No. Little Grove has its own shell, six activity areas, nineteen furnishings, parent café and entrance arrangement. The larger zone-first study and furnished example remain separate starting points.
Does the template calculate visitor capacity?
No. Capacity, staffing, accessibility, emergency egress and local-code decisions require project-specific input from suppliers and qualified local professionals.
Are the placed objects supplier products?
No. They are independent 3D models, most of them generic concept models with approximate sizes; the equipment library also has real branded products, sized from their published specifications. Exceptions are noted on each product sheet. Confirm actual products, dimensions, availability, clearances and installation requirements before purchasing or building.
